The comeback is in the numbers, and in the price.
Q2 revenue rose 25%, Intel's fastest growth since 2011, as AI pushed up demand for server CPUs faster than Intel can supply them. The stock has nearly tripled this year. GAAP results swing with a US government share deal, and the foundry still serves mostly Intel itself.
Price, last 12 months
Daily closes with the 50-day average. The stock rose from about $34 last November to a $140.94 close in June, fell 42% by late July, then rallied back above $120 in September.
Revenue by segment, by quarter
CCG is PC chips (renamed CCPG in Q2 2026). DCAI is server CPUs and AI. Foundry & other is Intel Foundry's outside revenue plus Mobileye and other businesses, after removing the wafers Foundry sells to Intel's own product groups. Altera left the consolidated results in September 2025. Q3 2026 is company guidance at the midpoint.

Fiscal-year financials
Revenue in US$ millions; Intel's fiscal year ends in late December. 2025 revenue was flat at $52.9B, its lowest since 2010, and the GAAP result was a small loss after $2.2B of restructuring charges. The recovery shows up in 2026 quarters, not yet in a full year.

Watch list
What moves the thesis, sorted by direction.
AI pulls server CPUs
DCAI revenue jumped 59% to $6.26B. Intel has signed 10 long-term contracts with server CPU buyers and says data center demand is running ahead of what it can supply.
18A in production
Xeon 6+ is the first server product on Intel 18A, and 18A-P has entered risk production. Non-GAAP gross margin rose from 29.7% to 41.8% in a year.
Foundry needs outside customers
Intel Foundry revenue grew 31% to $5.77B, but almost all of it comes from Intel's own products. Landing named external customers, especially for 14A, is the open question.
Capex and balance sheet
Intel is "meaningfully increasing" spending on equipment, clean rooms and substrates. Adjusted free cash flow was −$8.4B in Q2, with $50.5B of debt against $29.7B of cash and investments.
GAAP swings from the US stake
A $12.5B mark-to-market loss on escrowed CHIPS Act shares turned Q2 into an $11.0B GAAP loss. Those charges move with the share price, so GAAP earnings will stay noisy.
Supply and valuation
Substrate and memory shortages cap shipments. At ~70× annualized guided EPS the stock is priced for the recovery, and it fell 42% in five weeks after the June peak.
